Today’s video of the day is In Strict Confidence – “Fever” released in 2026.
German electro-industrial band In Strict Confidence returned with “Fever” on October 16, 2026. Released through Minuswelt, the single previews the group’s upcoming album. Moreover, its dark electronic sound continues the band’s blend of industrial beats, atmospheric synths, and dark-wave melodies. The video adds a striking visual dimension. Some fans have noted similarities to Gary Numan’s “My Name Is Ruin.” However, “Fever” maintains the distinctive electronic atmosphere that has defined In Strict Confidence for decades.
In Strict Confidence began in 1989 under the name Seal of Secrecy. The band adopted its current name in 1992 and gradually developed its own industrial sound. Dennis Ostermann and Jörg Schelte became the core duo, while later collaborators included Heidi Pulkkinen, also known as HayDee Sparks, and Nina de Lianin. Meanwhile, the group built a loyal following through dark electronic productions and atmospheric arrangements. Their 1996 debut album, Cryogenix, sold out its initial pressing within a week. This success helped establish the band in the German electro-industrial scene.
“Fever” serves as a preview of In Strict Confidence’s next album, although its final album placement is unconfirmed. Nevertheless, it connects with the band’s long history of evolving electronic textures and dark, melodic songwriting. Earlier releases explored different shades of electro-industrial, EBM, and darkwave. As a result, the new track offers another chapter in the group’s continuing musical development. With atmospheric production and a distinctive presentation, “Fever” introduces the band to longtime and newer listeners alike. Fans can look forward to seeing how the track fits the upcoming album.
