Today’s video of the day is Front Line Assembly – "Mechviruses" (Ultra Sunn Remix) released in 2025.

Industrial pioneers Front Line Assembly return with the powerful video for “Mechviruses (Ultra Sunn Remix).” The track leads their 2025 remix album Mechviruses, released on February 7 through Artoffact Records. Originally, the song appeared as “Mechvirus” on the 2018 album WarMech. However, this version transforms the track into a modern EBM anthem. Belgian duo Ultra Sunn add new vocals and lyrics. As a result, the remix blends aggressive industrial rhythms with melodic darkwave energy. Moreover, the lyrics explore truth, connection, and shared moments between people.

Front Line Assembly formed in Vancouver in 1986. Bill Leeb started the project after leaving Skinny Puppy. Soon after, the band helped shape the electro-industrial and EBM genres. Albums like Caustic Grip, Tactical Neural Implant, and Hard Wired defined their early sound. Later releases expanded into cyber-industrial and cinematic electronics. For example, WarMech introduced a futuristic, mechanized concept inspired by technology and warfare. Therefore, the original “Mechvirus” fit perfectly within that cybernetic theme.

The Mechviruses album revisits that world from a new angle. Instead of repeating the past, the record invites modern artists to reinterpret the material. Consequently, Ultra Sunn’s remix bridges generations of EBM. Their “Sound of Belgium” influence adds groove and atmosphere. Meanwhile, Front Line Assembly’s mechanical intensity remains intact. Because of this balance, “Mechviruses (Ultra Sunn Remix)” connects the band’s classic roots with today’s dark electronic scene. The video highlights that evolution while celebrating decades of industrial innovation.
