Today’s video of the day is Lykard – "Unsterblich" released in 2020.

“Unsterblich” marks the explosive debut of Lykard in 2020. Moreover, the project unites producer Vasi Vallis with vocalist Martin Bodewell of Orange Sector. Together, they channel classic EBM power into a modern industrial framework. As a result, the single feels both nostalgic and forward-driven. The track appears on the debut EP Unsterblich. Importantly, this release introduced Lykard’s signature mix of pounding beats and commanding vocals. While Vallis shapes the aggressive production, Bodewell delivers sharp, anthemic lyrics. Therefore, the collaboration feels focused and intense from the first note.

The Unsterblich EP expands the concept with four versions. First, the original track hits hard with driving basslines. Next, the “Club Mix” stretches the energy for dance floors. In addition, the “Non Voc Tech” and “Club Non Voc Tech” versions highlight the production. Consequently, listeners can experience both vocal power and instrumental force. The “Club Mix” also appears on Infacted Compilation Vol. 9. Furthermore, fans can purchase the EP digitally on Bandcamp and Beatport. Not only does Bandcamp offer streaming, but it also provides high-quality downloads. Therefore, the release connects directly with the global EBM community.

Visually, the “Unsterblich” video amplifies the track’s dark atmosphere. Sharp cuts and stark imagery reinforce the industrial tone. Meanwhile, performance shots underline the project’s intensity. As a debut statement, it sets the direction for Lykard’s future work. Although this is their first EP, it already reflects Vallis’ long history in electronic music. At the same time, it carries the unmistakable vocal identity of Orange Sector. Ultimately, “Unsterblich” stands as both a tribute to classic EBM and a bold new chapter.
