Today’s video of the day is Ayria – "Burning Up" released in 2025.

Ayria’s Burning Up is a bold industrial pop reimagining of Madonna’s 1982 classic. Released in October 2025 by Artoffact Records, the single celebrates Jennifer Parkin’s early musical inspirations. Ayria, founded in 2003 in Toronto, is known for blending synthpop, EBM, and electro-industrial sounds with sharp lyrical hooks. Over the years, Parkin has crafted albums like Hearts for Bullets and Paper Dolls that explore emotion, empowerment, and digital-era identity. Burning Up continues that journey, serving as a bridge to her next collection of original songs.

Parkin has said that watching Madonna perform live as a child inspired her to pursue music. Fans often call her the “Industrial Madonna,” a title she wears proudly. The track captures that influence with its urgent, sensual, and punk-tinged energy. Produced by Sebastian R. Komor, Burning Up channels raw 80s attitude through dark electronic textures and pulsing beats. It stands apart from Ayria’s previous albums while still echoing her signature synth-driven style. This release reconnects Parkin with her roots and shows her versatility as both a performer and producer.

The video for Burning Up captures pure 1980s nostalgia. Directed and edited by Agata Waclawska and produced by Moonreel Media, it mirrors the style of Madonna’s Lucky Star era. Jennifer Parkin commands the screen with confidence and charisma, blending glamour and grit in true Ayria fashion. Neon lights, vintage filters, and classic poses pay tribute to a pop icon while celebrating Ayria’s modern edge. This release not only honors the past but also ignites anticipation for what’s next in her evolving sound.
