Las Eras – Virginia

Today’s video of the day is Las Eras – "Virginia" released in 2024.

Las Eras returns with a striking visual for their 2024 single “Virginia.” The darkwave trio from Buenos Aires delivers another hypnotic blend of synths, vocals, and atmosphere. Formed in 2019, Las Eras quickly built a reputation for emotional depth and sonic intensity. Lucas Loto leads with icy synths and stark vocals. Agustin Sperlee drives the rhythm with pulsing bass and analog textures. Sofía Castro’s ethereal voice and shimmering synths add contrast and depth. Together, they channel post-punk, coldwave, and dream pop influences into something distinct. The video for “Virginia” captures the song’s haunting energy. Filmed in black and white, it features shadowy rooms, flickering lights, and blurred memories. Castro takes the visual lead, drifting through surreal interiors while the music swells with tension. The result is intimate yet unsettling.

Las Eras debuted with the self-titled Las Eras in 2021. That album introduced their moody, synth-driven sound. In 2022, they followed up with the EP Estática, which brought in more layered textures and experimental elements. Each release has shown the band expanding their sonic range. “Virginia” continues this evolution. The track blends the melodic clarity of their debut with the atmospheric intensity of Estática. It stands as a strong statement of where the band is headed. Las Eras continues to evolve while staying true to their coldwave roots. “Virginia” captures their growth—both musically and visually. Fans of darkwave and synth-pop will find much to love in this latest release.
