Today’s video of the day is AutoKratz – “Always More” released in 2009.

AutoKratz released the official promo video for their song “Always More” in 2009. Directed by Guy Nisbett of Soap Film, this video was part of the promotion for their debut album, Animal. The song was the first single from the album and showcased their fresh sound. Formed in London in 2007, AutoKratz quickly made waves in the electronic music scene. They were signed to the French label Kitsuné, known for its cutting-edge roster, which included Hot Chip and Crystal Castles. Their debut single, “Reaktor,” gained recognition as Pete Tong’s ‘Record of the Week’ on BBC Radio 1, setting the stage for their future success.

Released in June 2009, Animal was praised by several publications. IDJ gave it a perfect 10/10, while Mixmag awarded it ‘Album of the Month.’ The album solidified their position in the electronic music world, blending sharp beats with an indie-electro sound. Animal fits seamlessly into their discography, representing the band’s early era of raw, energetic music. “Always More” stands out as one of the highlights of the Animal album. The video complements the track’s dynamic beats with sleek, minimalist visuals, emphasizing the band’s futuristic style. The song and video gained wide recognition and propelled AutoKratz further into the spotlight.

Following the release of Animal, AutoKratz supported major acts like Underworld and The Prodigy. They also toured across Europe and beyond, playing at festivals such as La Route du Rock, Wireless, and Melt Festival. This global tour helped cement their reputation as a live act, bringing their album’s energy to stages worldwide. AutoKratz continued to evolve after Animal, releasing more music and building on the foundations laid by tracks like “Always More.” Their debut album remains a vital part of their discography, marking the start of a successful career in the electronic music scene.
